This is a classic British farce by Philip King set in wartime Merton-cum-Middlewick.  It involves a cluster of clerics, mistaken identities and a German PoW<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brenda Hester produced.  Ian Walker (as a German pilot in an oversized uniform) and Alistair Codona (as an uncertain parson in a long scarf) made their debuts on stage. Nancy Shield videoed the play, and this was played at Elizabeth Birkby\u2019s home.  Is this the first show to be videoed?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elizabeth Birkby was apparently \u201cpie-eyed\u201d, and Tony Wood was seen in \u201cdoubtful\u201d underwear!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
