This comedy by Richard Harris is about the attempts of some working class amateurs to overcome their inhibitions and \u201cleft feet\u201d in a low-rent dance studio in North London.  Mavis (Amanda Horne), a former professional chorus girl tries her hardest to teach the bumbling amateurs some dance skills for an upcoming recital.  But before the dancing begins Mavis must sort out the minor dramas that erupt among this motley but loveable crew on their way to triumph at their recital<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was directed by Viv Stuart, and produced by Hazel Hancock. Ian Godley joined as backstage, and will stay for 18 years.\u00a0\u00a0He\u2019d already been with the pantomime group for a few years, but gave this up to concentrate on Drama after a couple of years doing both. This seems to be the last involvement for John Bennett after 13 years, playing \u201cA Man\u201d. We have a DVD from Eileen\u2019s video<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A newspaper report describes the group\u2019s \u201ccast crisis\u201d. Numbers have fallen, on and off-stage, and new members are urgently needed<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Incidentally Linda Ellis, the Panto choreographer, actually taught the dance steps, but couldn\u2019t appear in all the performances \u2013 so she also had to teach someone to play \u201cher\u201d part!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
