Set in a hospital,\u00a0Ray Cooney\u2019s play contains the usual assortment of farcical nuts running in and out of doors mistaking everybody for someone else, as Dr Mortimore (David Challenger) tries to fend off a paternity suit, an ex-girlfriend (Sylvia Wright), a punkish son and various other lunatics so that he may, at last, deliver the Ponsonby Lecture in an international conference<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Produced and directed by Jude Wright and Jenny Jones, first attempts for them both<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jo Shepherd remembers a complicated set with two pairs of swinging doors big enough to get a hospital trolley through.\u00a0\u00a0Through a window could be seen a distant view of London in winter, which Jo sketched and painted on the backdrop<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
