It’s Christmas in Mike Harding\u2019s comedy.\u00a0\u00a0Relatives you hardly ever see, and who are now very different from you, arrive at your house for the festivities.\u00a0\u00a0No-one receives a present that is appropriate.\u00a0\u00a0Culinary disasters abound.\u00a0\u00a0Long-buried resentments rear their ugly heads as the alcohol flows and tongues are loosened<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not all this was acting\u2026..\u00a0\u00a0some of the drinks were real alcohol, so the swearing got a little worse.\u00a0\u00a0Two people wrote to complain, but anonymously, so we couldn\u2019t reply to apologise!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Directed by Viv Stuart, and produced by Hazel Hancock.  We have a DVD, from David Laine\u2019s original.  This seems to be the last appearances of Alison Ashton after 13 years, and Sylvia Wright, after 25 years. The programme notes the death of Maureen Heath earlier in the year<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme also announces the merger between Grenoside and Birley Carr, with the following April operetta being the first joint production<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
