In Norman Robbins\u2019 play, the gruesome discovery of several dead bodies on the moor sparks a police investigation and a heavy media presence in the remote North\u00a0Yorkshire village\u00a0of Chellingford.\u00a0\u00a0However, when Adrian Brooks (Mark Winton) shows up at the cottage of artist Jessica Scanlon (Deborah Hester), it is with another line of enquiry in mind.\u00a0\u00a0His sister, Laura, has disappeared, and he thinks Jessica might be able to help him find her.\u00a0\u00a0Jessica’s friend Etta has also gone missing, and when she is called upon to identify of the bodies discovered by the police, she confirms that it is Etta.\u00a0\u00a0But Jessica’s landlady Mildred (Kath Pagdin) seems to have other ideas.\u00a0\u00a0A mysterious suicide, an elaborate insurance scam and the arrival of nosy true crime writer Diana Wishart (Jude Wright) create further layers of intrigue<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This seems to be the last involvement for David and Jane Challenger, after 13 years, and of Ruth Kerrigan<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
