In Falkland L. Cary’s play, Doctor Waring (Gerald Kidney) is concerned about his daughter, Sheila (Mary Frost). She is working for a wealthy stamp dealer (Eric Silletto) and has fallen in love with him. The doctor knows that the dealer Michael Rentour is a very dubious person, so he demands that he breaks his connections with his daughter. He refuses and the doctor shoots him. When the police investigate their suspicions fall on Sheila, because he had not been truthful about her alibi. The doctor confesses to the police that he had committed the crime – but they do not believe him…..
Eric Silletto produces, but announces that he is leaving the group for “a new venture”. Betty Bellamy joined, and will stay for 27 years. Victor Bellamy also joins, as Superintendent Harding, and will stay for 15 years
