1996-10 (BC) Night must fall

In Emlyn Williams’ play, a charming hotel porter (John Otter) arrives unexpectedly at the remote woodland home of old Mrs Bramsom (Kath Pagdin). He soon ingratiates his way into her life and that of her beautiful niece Olivia (Maxine Townson).  But when a local woman goes missing and rumours of a murder surface, fingers begin to point towards the dashing hotel porter.  Has the past finally caught up with Dan and could he really be capable of murder? As the police close in, and with the press baying for blood, is anyone safe?

Brenda Hester produces. This seems to be Roy Ollerearnshaw’s last appearance, after 45 years, playing the Lord Chief Justice.  Jeff Klee is the Scenic Artist, but it also seems to be his last time, after 16 productions
