1976-03 (GCP) Miss Letitia

In Constance Cox’s story, Letitia (Frances Morton) is companion to difficult and wealthy Miss Matfield (Rita Benson), but she is longing to break away.  When Harry Vincent (Philip Frost, in his first appearance) arrives, she is easily won over by him, and offers Miss Matfield’s best pieces, hoping to pay her back before the theft is discovered.  Miss Matfield finds out and only a heart attack prevents Letitia from disaster.  At the same time, Letitia hears that Harry has disappeared.  Miss Matfield’s will, however, contains a surprise which sets Letitia on the road to becoming a second Miss Matfield herself
