Aging couple Ethel and Norman Thayer (Maureen Heath and Peter Race) spend each summer at their home on a lake called Golden Pond. They are visited there by daughter Chelsea (Vivien Stuart) with her fiancé Billy Ray and his son Billy Ray Jnr (John Bennett and Christopher Andersson). This Ernest Thompson play explores the often turbulent relationship the young woman shared with her father whilst growing up, and the difficulties faced by a couple in their twilight years
Hazel Hancock produced and Clare Winton directed, though it’s Clare’s last appearance. It’s also the last involvement for Peter and Eileen Race, after 16 years
